Gerald (“Jerry”) Murphy is a resident Partner in the firm’s Long Island office. Jerry is an experienced litigator with an emphasis on medical malpractice and general liability insurance defense. He represents many of the major hospitals and physician practice groups in the metropolitan New York area, and also represents various stakeholders in defense of construction, labor law and various other general liability and commercial matters. Jerry also defends municipalities in a variety of complex liability matters. Additionally, Jerry has argued appeals before the appellate courts in New York State.
Mr. Murphy received his undergraduate degree from the State University at Stony Brook in 1998. Thereafter, he received his Juris Doctorate from Touro Law School in 2001. He was admitted to the New York State Bar and to the USDC, Eastern District in 2002. He is a member of the New York State Academy of Trial Lawyers, as well as the Nassau-Suffolk Trial Lawyers Association.
