Roy F. Kaufman

PARTNER

Roy F. Kaufman is a partner in the firm’s Long Island office. Roy is a seasoned trial attorney with over thirty years of experience representing various stakeholders in the healthcare industry both as a practicing attorney and as an in-house senior executive. Roy has tried over 150 cases, with dozens proceeding to verdict with favorable outcomes for his clients. He has also served as a Nassau County Court Examiner overseeing Guardianship matters under the Mental Health Law, and has also served as a court-appointed mediator. Prior to joining the firm, Roy served as the Director of Claims for Administrators for the Professions, Inc., Attorney-in-Fact for Physicians’ Reciprocal Insurers, following which Roy served as Vice President of Claims. In addition, for nearly as long as Roy has been an attorney, he has served as Adjunct Professor at both the State University of New York at Stony Brook, and also at St. John’s University, on issues relating to healthcare, ethics and the law.
